first_imgA CONVOY man caught doing doughnuts on the rally weekend last year has been fined €500.Andrew Laird, who is 25 with an address at 80 Milltown in Convoy, was arrested by gardai at Raymoghy on June 22 last year.Garda Inspector Michael Harrison said gardai observed Laird as he spun his car around in the middle of the road. The inspector was asked by Judge Paul Kelly what sort of vehicle Laird was driving.The inspector replied: “The ususal, Toyota Corolla twin cam. Spurs star expected to miss the start of next season after knee surgery

first_imgTottenham defender Danny Rose is set to miss the start of next season after undergoing knee surgery.The full-back has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s side since damaging medial ligaments during the goalless draw with Sunderland on January 31.He returned to full training last week and was thought to be in contention to feature in the club’s final two Premier League games of the campaign.But it has emerged there is still an issue with Rose’s left knee and the 26-year-old had an exploratory operation on Tuesday.“We can confirm that Danny Rose has undergone exploratory surgery on his left knee today,” said Spurs on their official Twitter account.“He recently returned to training, however, the problem has not resolved fully therefore a decision has been made to proceed to surgery.“He will now return to action next season.” 1last_img read more
