The team acquired defenseman P.K. Subban from the Predators for defensemen Steven Santini and Jeremy Davies in addition to second-round picks in 2019 and 2020 on June 22.Simmonds, who turns 31 in August, was initially selected by the Kings with the No. 61 pick of the 2007 draft but was later dealt to the Flyers. After eight years in Philadelphia, he was traded once again to Nashville in February.
